Living History: A Memoir Writing Workshop for America’s 250th

As America approaches its 250th birthday, the Town of North Hempstead and The Story Round invite senior residents to gather for a new six-session memoir series that celebrates personal stories and our shared history. This engaging program combines guided memoir writing with conversation and community. Through their writing, participants will reflect on childhood, work, family, neighborhood life, and the historic moments they experienced firsthand. Sessions are designed to be relaxed and social, with time for discussion, connection, and optional sharing. No prior writing experience is required.
